Broker's Notes
Tropic of Capricorn is the third example of Nauta 70, designed by Bruce Farr for the hull lines and by Nauta Design for the interiors and exteriors, and built at the CNB shipyard in Fano. Farr has brought to bear the experience gained in designing winning ocean racing and Maxi Yacht hulls on this small series desired by the solid Italian reality, still today a leader in the creation of interiors.
The result of this union is an iconic yacht in style, fast, light and robust (her celebrated sister My Song has been a multiple winner on the racing circuit) but at the same time extremely comfortable for life aboard. The interiors are indeed very spacious and bright, with superior finishes that are very difficult to replicate today. Nothing is lacking to make cruising pleasant: air conditioning, generator, watermaker, TV and stereo, silent electric heads and much more.
This yacht underwent a comprehensive refit in 2020/21, where among many things the engine (a Yanmar 310 HP currently with 500 hours) generator, refrigerators, heads, upholstery were replaced. The hull, deck and mast were repainted and the electrical and hydraulic systems completely overhauled. The teak, from 2003, was also re-sealed and revised.
In short, Tropic of Capricorn represents an opportunity to acquire a piece of world nautical history of all time, a vessel of timeless appeal.
